What you need to bring
Bring compatible iPhones for your camera angles and a supported host iPhone or iPad. Check the device requirements before backing, including the supported configuration and available internal storage. Choose a table or recording space with room for the stands and mounts. Have a charging plan for the length of conversation you want to record.
Headphones help you catch problems during your test. A quiet room and a soft light in front of your speakers usually matter more than adding a complicated backdrop.
Who this kit is for
The base kit suits a host and guest, two cohosts, or a small team recording an in-person conversation. It is designed for people who want video as well as audio and want to pack the equipment away afterward.
The iOS app will be available at launch for iPhone and iPad. An Android app is planned for 2027. The launch workflow is designed for in-person recording with compatible Apple devices; remote guests and external webcams are not included.
How the hardware and app work together
The two microphones feed the dedicated audio interface. Compatible iPhones capture the camera angles. The host device controls the session and brings the recordings together for editing. Automatic Multicam creates a first cut based on who is speaking, and you can review or change camera choices manually.
