About Podcast in a Box

Podcast in a Box was created around a simple idea: having something worth saying should not require becoming a production expert first.

Where the Idea Started

Podcast in a Box began when Adeena Halberstam wanted to create a matchmaking and dating advice podcast.

Like many first-time creators, she quickly discovered that coming up with the show was only one part of the challenge.

Producing a professional-looking multi-camera podcast meant navigating microphones, audio equipment, cameras, mounts, cables, recording workflows, editing, and all of the small technical decisions that come with them.

What was supposed to be a way to share ideas started to look like a production project.

That experience became the starting point for Podcast in a Box.

Our Purpose

Podcast in a Box is being built for people who want to create conversations, interviews, shows, and ideas without first having to assemble a traditional studio piece by piece.

The company brings the core elements of a portable podcast setup together with a workflow designed around devices creators already know, including iPhone and iPad.

The goal is straightforward: make the production side more approachable so creators can spend more of their attention on the people, ideas, and conversations that made them want to start a podcast in the first place.

Adeena Halberstam

Founder and Owner

Adeena Halberstam is the Founder and Owner of Podcast in a Box. The idea began when she wanted to create a matchmaking and dating advice podcast and discovered how complicated it was to produce a professional-looking multi-camera show without a studio. She founded PIAB to make that production process approachable for people who have something worth saying but do not want to become audio/video technicians first.

Ben Halberstam

Product Lead

Ben Halberstam is Product Lead at Podcast in a Box and CEO of Movo. He brings more than a decade of experience developing creator-focused audio and video hardware. Public Kickstarter records for Movo show the WebMic HD Pro campaign raised $653,017 from 4,334 backers and MicRig raised $121,516 from 1,965 backers. Podcast in a Box is a separate company from Movo; Ben's Movo role is included only as professional background.

Podcast in a Box is operated by Mediabox Solutions LLC.

Podcast in a Box is a separate company from Movo. Movo is not the manufacturer brand presented on Podcast in a Box hardware, and Podcast in a Box should not be described as a Movo product.
