Check your devices before you choose Podcast in a Box
The iOS app will be available at launch for iPhone and iPad. An Android app is planned for 2027. You provide the devices; phones and tablets are not included in the kit. Check the supported setup for the recording you want to make before backing.
The devices have different jobs
The host iPhone or iPad controls the session and is used for the editing workflow. Compatible iPhones provide additional camera angles and record locally. A connected device is not automatically an additional recorded camera angle.
For confirmation of your particular configuration, send us the device models and iOS or iPadOS versions you plan to use. We can help you check the current requirements before you commit.

Cables and connections
The kit includes recording cables with Lightning and USB-C connectivity for supported setups. Connector shape alone does not establish compatibility: the device model, software version and recording role also matter.
Storage and power planning
Check available internal storage on every recording device before a session, and leave space on the host for transfer and export. Keep batteries charged and plan power for the intended recording length. Do a test that includes recording, transfer, editing and export with the same devices you will use for the episode.
Keep original files until the export has been checked and backed up. Do not assume cloud storage replaces local recording space or that recording continues through every network or hardware interruption.
Confirm your setup
Tell us your host device, camera-device models, software versions, intended number of speakers, and expected session length. Do not send device serial numbers or account passwords.
